Scheduling

Glow is a by-appointment hair salon and beauty spa.  Walk-ins are most certainly welcome, but not guaranteed an appointment.

 

 

Cancelation and Missed appointments

 

 

Stuff happens. But 24 hours gives us a great heads up. Treatment times are reserved just for you. If you don’t show up, or if you cancel at the last minute, we are unable to fill this appointment. To avoid cancelation or no-show fees, and as a courtesy to the Glow team as well as other customers who are on the waiting list, please call in advance to cancel or reschedule appointments. We require a 24 hour cancelation notice for single services. For multiple services, or spa package bookings, we require a two day cancelation notice and possibly a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will not be refunded to short cancelations. We understand if an emergency happens. You won’t be charged.

 

 

1st Missed appointment or last minute cancel- not penalized, but we will record it.

2nd Missed appointment or last minute cancel- you will be charged in full for the booked services you missed.

3rd Missed appointment or last minute cancel- In the event you missed three consecutive appointments, you will be unable to schedule your future appointment over the phone. You will be charged in full for all of the booked services of the 3rd appointment, and you must pre-pay for your next service at the time of booking.

No exceptions will be made. We still love you, though.

 

 

Adult Environment and Children

 

 

We love children. However, please no children in the salon and spa, unless the child is scheduled for an appointment. Chemicals, heat appliances, sharp razors and shears, bleach…our insurance policy says a salon is not a safe place for children, and our hands are tied. Also, our customers come to relax and we would like to provide a relaxing environment. Again, for insurance reasons, safety, and the comfort of the other guests, children will not be permitted. Thank-you for your understanding and your cooperation on this.

 

 

Children who are scheduled for an appointment

 

 

Children under the age of 11 receiving an appointment must not be left un-attended during this appointment. This means they must be under the direct supervision of an adult other than the staff providing the service. Under no circumstances is the child to be left unattended in the reception area while waiting for this appointment.

Hair services for girls 11 years and up

Girls aged 11 years and up are welcome to receive hair services.

 

Mobile phones

Please limit mobile use to the reception area.

 

Loud mobile conversations are disruptive to those trying to relax and un-wind. Also, please keep in mind it impossible for us to cut or color around a mobile phone you are holding a phone to your ear. Long chats on your phone in the salon during your hair service will result in us not being able to give you the quality service you deserve, and may cause us to run behind schedule as we wait for your conversation to end.

 

Gratuities/tips

 

Always optional, of course. If you choose to leave them, these may be left with discretion at the front desk, as they are not automatically included in our service prices. However, for your information- 15-20% is the standard recommendation for gratuities in Qatar. We have provided a tip conversion chart at the front desk for your convenience, for those still unfamiliar with Riyals. 

 

Early bird

 

To ensure a smooth and relaxing experience, please arrive a few minutes early for your appointment so that we may start on time. We understand that being late is sometimes  unavoidable (Doha traffic can be quite bad!); however, depending on circumstances, your service time may have to be shortened or rescheduled to avoid inconveniencing the next scheduled guest. We will try to allow a grace period of 15 minutes.

 

Scheduled Timing

 

We are understanding of you if you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, so by the same token, please have the same consideration for us.

 

We firmly believe in the value of your time, and make a conscience effort to avoid long waiting periods. If you have checked in before or on time for your scheduled appointment, and we are more than 15 minutes late starting your appointment, we would like to extend to you a 10% discount.

 

 We schedule adequate time for your requested appointment, but depending on your desired results, your timing may run over. We don’t like to rush or be rushed, so if time is critical to your schedule on a particular day, and you must leave at a certain time, please make us aware of this at the time of scheduling your appointment.

 

 

Hair Pricing & Consultations

Quotes given by our receptionists are just an estimate. Prices could vary depending on individual stylists, on the coloring technique, amount of time, length of hair and amount of color and product used to create desired effect.

If you’d like to have a consultation before booking a hair appointment, you are welcome to do so. Our hair stylists would love to see you for a chat and you may inquire about pricing during this time. Considering that all hair services are individually priced, you may request a total price this way, prior to receiving services.

All hair services have a “built-in” amount of time for a consultation. however, If you would like to come at a time prior to the day of your service, you may.

 all consultations with our hairstylists are complimentary. Please book ahead for this appointment.

 

 

 

Our promise to you

 

If you are not delighted with your service, you may return to us within one week after the service was performed, and we will be happy to correct, or re-do the service.

 

Please note: Corrective color (corrective color means that you have had disappointing color else-where, or have done it yourself and you’d like us to fix it, or you are making a dramatic change in lightening your current color) usually requires more than one service to achieve desired results. Because of the nature of home coloring products, we cannot guarantee color services if the client has previously had color done outside of our salon.
